Contacting Other Group Members
To a large extent Second Life is a social networking application. As you explore the environment you will make friends and join groups.
There will be times in which you would like to contact your friends or other group members to talk to them, send them a message, or even teleport them to your current location
The following instructions will tell you how to do this.
When you are logged into Second Life, you can see a "Communicate" button at the bottom of your screen.

Clicking on this button will open up a window with many useful functions.
At the bottom of this window are two tabs - "Local Chat" and "Contacts"

Clicking on the Local Chat tab will allow you to view the conversations of people in your immediate area.

It also contains a chat box in which you can communicate with these people
Clicking on the "Contacts" tab will allow you to view "Friends" and "Groups"

When the "Contacts" tab is selected you can see the "Friends" and "Groups" tabs at the top of the "Contacts" window

To communicate with other members of your group, select the "Groups" tab (Everything that follows is also true if you select the "Friends" tab)

If you want to communicate with everyone in a group, select the group and click the "IM/Call" button

If you want to communicate with a single individual in a group, hit the "Info" button. This will pull up the group profile

Double click on the group member you would like to speak to. This will pull up that individual's profile

To speak with that individual, click on the "Instant Message" button

To teleport that individual to your current location, click on the "Offer Teleport" button (this option is only available if the group member to be teleported is currently online)
