- Memory Games: This site runs Java applets with which you can challenge and strengthen (maybe) your memory skills
Repressed/Reconstructed Memories and False Memories Links
- The Repressed Memory Controversy: A great discussion of the validity of repressed memories. However, this article is very slanted towards disbelief in the "recovery" of repressed memories in therapy. It was written by Elizabeth Loftus so keep the viewpoint in mind when reading this.
- False Memory: The website of the false memory foundation.
- The British False Memory Page: A website for the purpose of "reviewing the controversy surrounding "recovered memories" and false accusations of childhood sexual abuse."
- Recovered Memory Therapy and False Memory Syndromes: An article discussing the dangers of therapy designed to recover "repressed" memories. The article has a definite bias in that it is obvious the author is skeptical of the recovery of repressed memories. This is a good article for information supporting this side of the repressed memory controversy.
Eyewitness Memory & Eyewitness Testimony
- Eyewitness Identification Research Laboratory: Site focuses on "research in eyewitness memory and identification, and many aspects of face recognition. In addition to being a research laboratory, the Laboratory offers instruction and research training for both graduate and undergraduate students."
- Faculty Eyewitness Memory Site: Website created by Gary Wells, a faculty member at Iowa State University. One of his research interests is Eyewitness Memory. On his website is a collection of links related to eyewitness memory.
